Project Description
In this project, we were supposed to find a natural way to create electricity. We then were supposed to use that electricity and perform a task using it. We ended up using lemons and their citric acid reactions as our battery and we used the power that we made to light up an LED light.
Concepts
Anode- The positive terminal of the battery
Cathode- The negative terminal of the battery
Voltage- A force or potential difference measured in Volts (V)
Power- Physical strength and force exerted
Watt- The SI unit of power

Reflection
This project taught me a whole lot. While I was gone for a good portion of the process, I still feel like I ended up grasping some of the major concepts that were present in the project. The lowest point that we got to as a group was when we attempted to make a fire using our lemons. It seemed like we had enough voltage that we produced from the lemons, but it didn't work. I think it may have been the current that was our downfall. The highest point that we got to though was the satisfaction of being able to light the LED. It was a great feeling knowing that all the work that me and my group put in came to fruition. In the end, I ended up really enjoying this project and learning about how to naturally produce electricity.
