Our Project
In this project we were supposed to pick from many options that had to do with water and how we used it. We were able to narrow down our choices to few different things. In the end, we chose to pick methods of water filtration and their effectiveness. We ended up researching the life straw, a refresh2go water bottle filter, and boiling water.
Content
pH : A measure of hydrogen ion concentration, measurement of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14.
Solution: a special type of homogeneous mixture composed of two or more substances
Solute : the minor component in a solution, dissolved in the solvent.
Solvent : the liquid in which a solute is dissolved to form a solution.
Electrolyte : a liquid or gel that contains ions and can be decomposed by electrolysis
Polarity : a separation of electric charge leading to a molecule or its chemical groups having an electric dipole moment, with a negatively charged end and a positively charged end

Reflection
Over the course of this project, I learned a lot of very useful things that I'll use all the time in my life. I learned a lot about the most important thing in the world, water, and how we use it. However throughout the project, there was some difficulties that came along with it. The most difficult part of the entire project was just trying to wrap my head around all of the complexities that go along with water. Water is everywhere and always seemed so simple to me but I ended up learning so much about it. The best part about the project for me was when we finally dissected everything we were testing. I thought it was super cool to see what all goes into filtering water to make it clean. Overall, I really enjoyed working on this project
